Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is an independent charity doing big things to help protect and enhance the People, Landscape and Wildlife of the Dales.
The Yorkshire Dales is a precious and unique landscape and a vital resource for people and nature. We work passionately and practically to make sure it stays that way – delivering projects directly, raising money to enable others to deliver projects and working in partnership to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Everything we do is shaped by our four values:

The Yorkshire Dales is one of the most spectacular and distinctive landscapes in England. Our work helps to protect and enhance the unique natural, cultural and built heritage – from native woodlands to wildflower hay meadows and dry-stone walls.

Our work helps to protect and restore the unique habitats and wildlife of the Yorkshire Dales – making the Dales more resilient to climate change and helping people to appreciate and support our native wildlife.

The Dales and beyond
The Yorkshire Dales is at the very heart of what we do. Many of our projects now involve work that connects the Dales to its surrounding area. Sometimes it’s practical work – like expanding habitat networks for wildlife. Other work is about connecting with people and communities outside the Yorkshire Dales to ensure that everyone can access, enjoy and value this area.
